It all began in 1945, when our founder, Mr. Quek Him Kia, set out with a dream and a trishaw. Going door-to-door across Singapore, he traded anything he could find, driven by grit and resourcefulness. With the unwavering support of his wife, Mdm. Chua Kar Siang, Mr. Quek saved enough to start his own business and Tong Huat Trading Co. was born.

Our first shop at 18 Upper Nankin Street in the heart of Chinatown marked the start of our specialization in glass bottles, supplying to local Chinese medical halls. As word spread, our customer base grew to include the pharmaceutical, food, and sauce industries.

In 1973, we became Tong Huat Trading Co. (Pte) Ltd. A year later, we moved to our current location at Blk 51 Chin Swee Road following the government’s resettlement program. From here, we’ve continued to serve as a one-stop destination for quality glass and plastic containers.

Today, we proudly carry on Mr. Quek’s legacy, supplying high-quality glass bottles to a vast variety of industries. Our product range includes glass bottles for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fragrances, laboratories, food and beverages, specialty storage, as well as plastic containers for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, food and beverages, jerricans, and various miscellaneous applications.
